Carriers and methods
We ship by established national carriers, using the service level appropriate to the material and the destination. Stable materials ship by standard ground or air service. Temperature-sensitive or time-critical materials ship by expedited service. The method and its cost are stated on the quotation or set in the client agreement.
Shipments are made within the United States. Destinations outside the United States are handled case by case and require prior written agreement.
Temperature-controlled packaging
Materials that require refrigerated or frozen conditions ship in insulated packaging with refrigerant matched to the expected transit time and the season. The service level is chosen to keep the material within its condition for the duration of transit. Where possible, temperature-sensitive shipments are dispatched early in the week so they do not sit in a carrier facility over a weekend.
Tracking
Every shipment receives a carrier tracking number at dispatch. For bulk supply orders and inventory releases, tracking is sent to the account contact. For dropship orders, tracking is returned to the client’s system for every shipment so the client can pass it to its customer.
Receiving and inspection
Inspect shipments when they arrive. Check the packing list against the contents. Confirm that the lot numbers on the containers match the lot numbers on the documentation. For temperature-sensitive materials, confirm the state of the refrigerant and move the material to its storage condition immediately.
Damaged, short or incorrect shipments
If a shipment arrives damaged, is short, or does not match its documentation, notify us at admin@nextgenresearchlabs.com within 48 hours of delivery. Include the order reference, the lot number, and photographs of the packaging and the contents. Keep the packaging until the claim is resolved.
We investigate with the carrier and, where the claim is confirmed, replace the material or issue a credit. Reports made after the 48-hour window may limit what the carrier will accept and what we can do.
Returns
Research materials are not returnable once shipped, with two exceptions: we shipped a material other than the one ordered, or the material does not meet the specification stated on its Certificate of Analysis.
Temperature-sensitive materials cannot be returned once they have left our control under any circumstances. We cannot verify their storage condition in transit or at the recipient, and cannot place them back into inventory.
Where a return is authorized, we issue a return authorization and packing instructions. Material shipped back without an authorization is not accepted.
Lot documentation
Every shipment includes a packing list with lot numbers and the Certificate of Analysis for each lot. If any documentation is missing or does not match the material, contact us before using the material. Replacement documentation is available on request for any lot we have shipped.
Dropship shipments
For dropship clients, shipping methods, packaging standards, flat per-order rates, exception handling and return handling are set out in the client agreement. Shipments carry the client’s branding. Recipient inquiries are directed to the client; we do not correspond with end recipients directly unless the client instructs us to.
All materials are supplied for laboratory research use only. They are not for human or animal use, and not for diagnostic or therapeutic use. Handle, store and dispose of materials in accordance with the applicable safety data sheet and your institution’s protocols.
